The Humble Journey

THE hUMBLE JOURNEY

We developed the concept for a stripped-down, no frills Journey in Jan of 2020. This initial stretching of event production muscle turned into the only event we held that spring; postponing The Journey, and it was an awesome experience of fellowship and camaraderie without many associated costs and challenges. So the idea has stuck around.

As a result we are presenting the 2024 Humble Journey. The same spirit is there, no frills, basic production. Every rider will receive two GPS files they can choose to ride at their own pace with an organized start time of 10AM. No aid stations but likely neutral store stop on the longer route.

No timing, no production, just awesome riding with friends at your own pace. Take it as fast or slow as you choose. We will share with you some sustenance from the Floyd Plateau in the form of a bagged snack from Big Indian Bakery at check-in and an organized venue and start/finish water station, but not much else.

This year’s rides will be 35 or 55 miles and majority dirt roads departing from Stargazer Park in Meadows of Dan VA.
